The Toccoa tailwater has been fishing great, we’ve been picking fish up on just about everything. Targeting rising fish with caddis imitations and running pheasant tails and pats rubber legs as our point flies with caddis imitations off the back of those. Cloudy days we are picking up fish on sparkle minnows and mini dungeons on low water.
Toccoa River Striper Fishing Updates
The striper fishing is heating up. The fish are finished with their spawn and theyre eating pretty good. Were using shad imitations like spot on baitfish and clouser variations on sinking and intermediate lines depending on flow and depth!
Blue Ridge River Bass Tactics
Expect the river bass to start looking up as the water warms a bit. With recent rains we’re fishing frog patterns over poppers just for that extra push of water. Fish should be eating baitfish and crawfish over top water if the flows are still up.
Trout & Redeye Bass Creek Fishing
Creek fishing for both trout and redeye has been awesome. We’re getting some terrestrial eats using beetles hoppers and stonefly imitations. Places with higher flows run a small kreelex or sparkle minnow through as well.
