Apr 8, 2020 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

We fish a lot of shad patterns for striper and bass, and one of our favorites, the Clouser Minnow, needs no introduction. This version of the Clouser adds a furled polar chenille Flashtail to give this fly some serious bling. If you’re chasing line sides or green fish this spring, give this one a shot!

Materials:

Hook: Gamakatsu 2911 60 degree Jig Hook, size 1-3/0

Weight: Medium or Large Ballz Dumbbell Eyes

Tail/Body: Polar Chenille, UV Silver

Belly/Wing: Bucktail, White on the Belly, color of choice on Wing (We prefer Fl. Pink, Chartreuse, Gray, Tan, and Olive)
