Went here so my wife could learn to fly fish. Scrap that, Carolyn took me and her, and perfectly handled my no experienced wife, while handleing me, lol. Took the class the next ady with Matt.  I learned much,  while at the same time, he showed my wife everything she needed to know. Wow! I cannot say enough about this store, the owner, the fishing guides and the fly fishing instructor. We visited the store and my husband booked a guided fly fishing trip with Carolyn and she was absolutely amazing! I feel like I have made a new friend for life! The second day he signed us up for a class with Matt and he also was amazing. I learned so much from our class with him. He was very knowledgeable and loves doing what he does and sharing info with those of us who know nothing about the sport.  Thank you all for making is feel so welcome. This was my first guided fishing experience ever, and it exceeded every expectation. Kyle was incredibly pleasant, patient, and genuinely focused on making the trip about me and what I wanted to get out of it.

He took the time to coach me on my technique, and his instruction was top notch. I never felt rushed or overlooked, he made sure we were fishing in a way that helped me improve while still getting me into fish.

Outfreakingstanding!! Booked a trip for 04/28/26 and was rained out. They put me down for 04/30/26 and all I can say is PB’s were met today. A 24” Brown and a 25.5” Rainbow had me giddy. Matt was the guide and it was like fishing with an old friend. We had a blast. I highly recommend their all day private trout fishing wading trip…money well spent. Austin is an exceptional guide with an incredible depth of knowledge.  I had him booked for a half day wadding trout fishing trip. He took me to a place outside of Ellijay with private access.  His knowledge of how to manage fly selection yielded positive results on the 3rd hole we fished. My reel never screamed like this as the trophy trout fought.  My goal for the day was met at that point.  We continued to fish our area of access with me missing a couple hits.  But on the 2nd pass at the same hole that produced our earlier catch, I hooked into another really nice fish. This is a great local shop.  We are from
